The
Sequence of Endtime Events
Equipping
God's Saints (Followers of Christ) through the prophecies of the
End Times …
In
building on our chart that will compare scriptures with the events of
the Wrath of Satan, we will show the difference between the Wrath of
Satan and the Wrath of God and how the Final 3 ½ years known as the
Great Tribulation is actually the Wrath of Satan. Let's begin with
the first scripture on our chart, Daniel 7:25:
“And
he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out
the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and
they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the
dividing of time.”
The
“he” here speaks of the Antichrist. We know that because, in this
prophecy, there is a 10-Horned Beast, one horn comes up among the 10,
uproots 3 of them and waxes great. Ultimately, this horn becomes the
Antichrist. It goes on to say later in this passage that the little
horn makes war against the saints and prevails against them until the
Ancient of Days comes. We can see that this time of Great Tribulation
extends all the way from the time it is triggered to the time that
Jesus Christ comes back to put down the Antichrist and to establish
His Kingdom ~ a Kingdom that will never pass away and never be
destroyed.
What
we learn from Daniel 7:25 is that this man that arises ~ the
Antichrist:
- Will speak words against God
- Will Wear out (war against) the saints
- Has power to continue for time, times, dividing of time
Let's
explain the meaning of “Time / Times / Dividing of Time”.
Virtually
the same scripture as in the Old Testament, Daniel 7:25, we find in
the New Testament, Revelation 13:5-7, which describes the same
things:
“And
there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and
blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two
months.
And
he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name,
and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
And
it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome
them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and
nations.”
This
passage is speaking of the Beast of Revelation 13; specifically of
the one-world government and the leader of the one-world government;
the Antichrist. This passage says:
- He will have a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies
- Power will be given unto him to continue for 42 months
- He makes war with saints and overcomes them
This
passage tells us the definition for “Time / Times / Dividing of
Time” is:
Time
= 1 year
Times
= 2 years
Dividing
of Time = ½ year
Total
= 42 Months = 3 ½ years
The
Antichrist will have power to make war against the saints for 3 ½
years. All the elements in Daniel 7:25 and the elements written over
700 years later in Revelation 13 are all the same elements.
Everthing
meshes perfectly. The main thing we need to remember is Who authored
these books. Some people say Daniel wrote the Book of Daniel, John
wrote the Book of Revelation, etc. The fact is, both Books have the
same Author, He merely changed secretaries. Daniel was the recording
secretary of Daniel, and John was the recording secretary of
Revelation, but it's the same Author ~ God. That is the reason the
message is so consistant.
It
is important to know that the Great Tribulation is 3 ½ years. Many
people think it is 7 years. There is a 7 year period, but the Great
Tribulation is the final 3 ½ years of this 7 year period. There is
another passage that talks about this same time period. Revelation
12:1-6 says:
“And
there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the
sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve
stars:
And
she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be
delivered.
And
there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red
dragon, having seven heads with ten horns, and seven crowns upon his
heads.
And
his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast
them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was
ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was
born.
And
she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod
of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
And
the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared
of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days.”
There
are several things we need to define in this passage. This
description of the woman is an exact duplicate of the description of
Israel in the dream of Joseph in Genesis 37:9. He saw a vision of his
father and mother as the sun and the moon and his brothers as 11
stars. He was the 12th star. The 12 stars representing the
12 tribes of Israel. We have the same 12 stars here in Revelation
12:1 again representing the 12 tribes of Israel.
In
describing what or who the red dragon is, Revelation 12:9 tells us
the red dragon is that old serpent, the devil and Satan.
In
our passage of Revelation 12, we see there is a woman having a child.
We know the woman is Israel. The child is Jesus Christ.
Satan
stood before the woman to devour the child as soon as He was born. We
know that happened. Herod the Great tried to kill Jesus, however,
Almighty God instructed Joseph to take Jesus down into Egypt.
Consequently, He was delivered. Ultimately, the Child, Jesus, was
caught up to God to His throne after the end of His mission here on
earth.
The
woman fled into the wilderness for 1,260 days because she is under
persecution. We also notice the 1,260 days, which is the same as 42
months or Time / Times / Dividing of Time ~ all equaling 3 ½ years.
All of this is describing the time when there will be great
persecution against the church; against God's people everywhere; and
it's the time called the Great Tribulation. We are able to see here
that every reference to the Great Tribulation is a period of 3 ½
years.
