The Sequence of Endtime Events

There are 3 major sections to the Book of Revelation. Each of these sections are in “Sevens”:

• 7 Seals
• 7 Trumpets
• 7 Vials
• Plus “parenthetical chapters”

A lot of people think the Book of Revelation is in chronological order from front to back. That can really confuse you. The fact is, it's not true and I am going to show you how I know that is not true.

There is a key to all this. Once you realize that the 6^th and 7^th Seals, the 7^th Trumpet, and the 7^th Vial are the exact same event, once you get that picture, you can start making some sense of the layout of the Book of Revelation.

Now there are other chapters in the Book of Revelation that don't really fit into the 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets and 7 Vials. These we call “parenthetic chapters” where God said, “Oh, by the way, here's something else that is going to happen ...” For instance, He devoted a chapter to the Antichrist, the False Prophet and the economic system, the Mark of the Beast. He devoted a chapter to deal with the two witnesses and their ministries on this earth. But the backbone of the Book of Revelation is the 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets and 7 Vials.

Once you see that, now you want to know when did this start? Did they start 100 years ago? 1,000 years ago? Are they all futuristic? How do I come to grips with all this? All these Seals ... all these Trumpets … all these Vials … all these voices … all these earthquakes … all these lightnings … all these thunders ...

Something that will really help you is this: Notice that the events of the 6^th and 7^th Seals, the 7^th Trumpet and the 7^th Vial are all the same event.

Under the 6^th Seal there are Earthquakes; the Sun became black; the Moon blood; the Stars fall from heaven; Mountains and Islands are moved out of their places; the time of God's Wrath has come; there are Great voices; Great hail; Lightnings, voices, thunderings.

These elements are all common in the 6^th Seal, the 7^th Trumpet and the 7^th Vial. This is all very confusing because the 6^th Seal is in Chapter 6, the 7^th Trumpet is in Chapter 11, and the 7^th Vial is in Chapter 16. Up until now, we have always been taught that the Book of Revelation is in chronological order, but here it looks like it is all the same thing.

Yes, the Book of Revelation is in “An Order” ~ The 7 Seals happen in order ~ The 7 Trumpets happen in order ~ The 7 Vials happen in order. BUT the key factor is that the 6^th and 7^th Seals, the 7^th Trumpet and the 7^th Vial are all the exact same event.

Think about it this way …

You have the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They all tell the same store but from different vantage points with different details. It's all the same story.

To a certain degree, that is how we can look at the 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets and 7 Vials. They tell the same story but with a whole lot of different details.

• The Seals are the Long Story coming to an end.
• The Trumpets are the Shorter Story coming to the same end.
• The Vials don't even start until after the Mark of the Beast and are the Really Short Story coming to the same end.

Once you realize this is the way the Book of Revelation is constructed, things will start to fall in place in their proper perspective.

We are going to look at 5 different scripture passages:

• 6^th Seal
• 7^th Trumpet
• 7^th Vial
• Matthew 24:29
• Ezekiel 38:18-22

We are going to find there are certain elements within these scriptures, certain events that happen, are in common. We are going to see Earthquakes; Sun black; Moon blood [essentially the moon not giving off her light]; Stars fall; Mountains and Islands being moved out of their places; a reference to the Wrath of God or the Wrath of the Lamb; Voices; Hail; Lightnings; Thunders. We are going to see a lot of these common elements happen over and over again in these 5 passages and we are going to end up concluding as we go through these, verse by verse, that we are looking at one event here.

I'm going to give you a starting point so you can understand the layout of the Book of Revelation and how it was structured. From there, we will start diving into the Book and you will see things that you have never seen before.
