Part 4 of 4: The 7 Trumpets

Equipping God's Saints (Followers of Christ) through the Prophecies of the End Times …

Now we will discuss the Fourth Trumpet. Revelation 8:12 says:

“And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.”

This is all that is given to us for the Fourth Trumpet. At this point it seems a bit difficult to understand. Let's take a look at Matthew 24:22:

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”

This causes us to question, is God going to shorten the number of days, or is He going to shorten the length of each day? If He shortens the number of days, it will mess the Bible up. For instance, Daniel 12:11-12 says:

“And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.”

This tells us from the Abomination of Desolation to the culmination of the Battle of Armageddon is going to be 1,290 days. If God were to shorten the number of days, this scripture would have to be changed. Psalm 119:89 says:

“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven”

This convinces me that God is not going to shorten the number of days, so He must be going to shorten the length of each day. Actually, the prophecy Revelation says this in that it says the sun will not shine for 1/3 part of the day and the moon will not shine for 1/3 part of the night.

Now that we have established the Third Trumpet sounded in 1986 and the Fifth Trumpet sounded in 1991, when did the Fourth Trumpet sound? Is there any major event that happened between 1986 and 1991 that may be related with the shortening of the days?

We had a major turning point in 1989 when the Berlin Wall was torn down, the two Germanies were reunited and this was the beginning of the New World Order. This was really the beginning of the End Time.

Ten years after the 1989 event, Meryl Lynch put out a full page ad in USA Today titled something like, “The World is 10 years old today. Congratulations. Happy Birthday.” They were actually stating that the New World began when the Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989.

Tony Blair, who has a new Foundation that is a cobination of faith and globalization is known to say, “Globalization began with the fall of the Berlin Wall.”

The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 was a very pivotal event, so I feel that may be when God sped everything up and the Fourth Trumpet sounded.

We will now look at the Sixth Trumpet. Revelation 9:13-16 says:

“And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice...

Saying...Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.”

This prophecy tells us 3 things:

1. A war that will kill one-third of mankind. (That's 2.3 billion people.)
2. The war will start from the Euphrates River in the Middle East.
3. The number of the army that will participate is 200,000,000.

Let's make sure we understand about this war. There are 4 angels bound in the great River Euphrates and when they are loosed, it triggers this war that will kill 1/3 of mankind. There will be a 200 million man army involved.

Looking at the Euphrates River, you will see it starts in Turkey, flows down through Syria, down all the way through Iraq, emptying out in the Persian Gulf where the border of Iran and Iraq meet together.

This is where this war will begin from. If you are watching the news these days you will notice a lot of turmoil is going on in the Middle East right now and will undoubtedly continue.

We know that this war will start in the Euphrates River and the United States of America has 50,000 troups stationed there right now.

What else we know about this river is that it is 100% Islamic river. This tells us that if the war will be imminent from the Euphrates River, it is obvious that Islam, with it's 1.6 billion people will be involved in this war.

This is going to be a war that kills 1/3 of mankind. We know that China has a large enough population that she could field 200 million soldiers. Islam has a larger population and they, also, could field 200 million soldiers. Will the 200 million army be Islam or China? It will probably be both in order to kill 1/3 of mankind.

This war and the sounding of the Sixth Trumpet could happen at any moment. This war has to happen before the Great Tribulation begins.

In summary, we know the sequence of the Seven Trumpets to be:

1. The First Trumpet = World War I
1914 - 1918
2. The Second Trumpet = World War II 1939 - 1945
3. The Third Trumpet = Chernobyl Nuclear Accident
1986
1. The Forth Trumpet = Fall of the Berlin Wall
   1989
2. The Fifth Trumpet = Saddam Hussein invades Kuwait
   1991
3. The Sixth Trumpet = World War III
   Coming Very Soon

Now let's look at the Seventh Trumpet. Revelation 11:15 and 18 says,

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

Under the Seventh Trumpet, the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. His wrath is come. Rewards are given to the saints. This is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul taught us about the Seventh Trumpet in 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 when he said,

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

What's going to happen is the people who are dead but who are born again, will be raised from the dead. Those of us who are still alive on earth and serving God will be changed from mortal to immortality. We will be changed in a twinkling of an eye and be caught up together with the dead who have raised and together we will meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 we have another account of the last trump:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

The most critical thing we are going to talk about is the Rapture. Romans 8:11 tells us if you want to be a part of the Rapture:

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quiken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

You want to make sure you have received the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost because that's the power that will raise you up in the last day!
