Part 5 of 5 – Islam in Bible Prophecy - The 4 Horsemen

Equipping God's Saints (Followers of Christ) through the Prophecies of the End Times ...

The prophecy also says that this Green Horse Spirit will have:

“Power over the fourth part of the earth”

It is estimated that 1.3 to 1.8 billion people on earth today are Muslims. The population of the earth is 6.8 billion, so this is ¼ of the earth's population.

“Power was given to the Green Spirit to kill with the sword and with hunger.”

Muslims also love killing by beheadings and take pride in this. 96% of Muslims are from Africa and South Asia. These are the most poverty stricken, hunger afflicted parts of the world.

So the question is, “Is this the time of the Green Horse?

The Green Horse era, the era of the rise, the resurrection of Islam, is supposed to occur right before the Great Tribulation. If you understand the prophecies of the Bible, you have to know that we are approaching the time of the Great Tribulation right now.

The Green Horse is found in Revelation 6:7-8. Now let's look at the Fifth Seal, which is found in Revelation 6:9-11:

“And when he had opened the Fifth Seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held, and they cried with a loud voice, saying, how long, O Lord, holy and true, doest thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

So these souls that were killed during the Great Tribulation are crying out. They are not there physically, but they are there spiritually. They are able to communicate,

“How long until you avenge our blood upon those that dwell upon the earth?”

They are told to,

“Wait just a little while until the end of the Great Tribulation.”

There is another major event that's supposed to happen right before the Great Tribulation. It also has ties into Islam.

Revelation 9:13-18 talks about a war that kills one-third of the human race. This war is to start from the area of the Euphrates River. The Euphrates River starts in Turkey, flows down through Syria, and flows all the way through Iraq emptying into the Persian Gulf. This is so interesting because every inch of the Euphrates River is an Islamic river. It is controlled by Islam. And where is the fighting taking place today? The USA has 145,000 troups stationed along the Euphrates River.

Many people believe that the Euphrates River war is in progress right now. Many world leaders say we are actually in World War III but we don't know it yet.

What does this all mean? It means the Spirit of Islam is rising again.

Going onto the Sixth Seal, Revelation 6:12-17 says:

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood,

And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

And said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;

For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

This is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ at Armageddon.

So, we have the Green Horse. Then we have the Great Tribulation. Then we have the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

• Sun black as sackcloth of hair
• Moon became as blood
• Stars fallen from heaven

Those are all things that are described as occuring at the time of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

This is the Revelation account, Revelation 6:12-14. But Jesus also spoke of this in his famous Olivet Discourse found in Matthew 24. The disciples have asked Jesus,

“Tell us, when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the age?”

Jesus spent the rest of Matthew 24 giving many prophecies about things that would come. When He gets to the very last events, this is after the Great Tribulation occurs between verse 15 and 29, Matthew 24:29 says:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened [that was a sign under the Sixth Seal], and the moon shall not give her light [that happened under the Sixth Seal], and the stars shall fall from heaven [that happened under the Sixth Seal], and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man [Jesus Christ] in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven...”

This is the same thing that is found in Revelation 6. Heavens depart like a scroll and the wise men, the rich men, the wealthy men, the powerful men cry out and say,

“Hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, for the great day of His wrath is come.”

Continuing in Matthew 24:29-31, it says:

“... And they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power, and great glory. And he shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

We are approaching the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, right now!

We have learned the 6^th Seal is Armageddon and the Second Coming. Matthew 24, the Olivet Discourse, leads us up to and describes the 6^th Seal and the Second Coming.

Remember what it says:

Immediately after the tribulation

• Sun Darkened
• Moon shall not give her light
• Stars fall from heaven
• Then shall appear the sign of the coming of the Son of Man and He will send His angels to gather His elect.

What does this mean to you and me?

This is where we are right now. You and I live in the end time. So what do we do? Do we run off to Utah and buy a bomb shelter or do we try to find some place to save ourselves? Should that be the mind set of the time in which we live right now?

Daniel 11:32-33 prophesies of the time in which you and I live, right now. Daniel says there:

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant, shall he [the Antichrist; the last day world dictator that will rule in the Great Tribulation period], corrupt by flatteries?”

It's going to be really easy to be corrupted by compromises and flatteries right now. What will the true people of God be doing?

“But the people that do know their God”

I'm not talking nominal or lukewarm Christians. I'm talking about people that are really walking with God. People that do know their God.

Does it say they will be weak and defeated and anemic? NO. It says they will be strong, and they are going to do exploits.

These times will bring out the worst in some people and the best in others. And it says,

“They that understand among the people shall instruct many”

What should we do now? Should we allow the spirit of compromise and the lukewarmness of this age to sweep us away? Absolutely Not!

This is the time for you and me to renew our commitment to Jesus Christ. We don't need half-hearted Christians today. We need absolute and total commitment because Jesus Christ is counting on this last day, endtime church to be the last runner to carry the baton across the finish line. Forget about the lukewarmness. Forget about the indifference. They that understand among the people shall instruct many. That's you and me.
