Part 1 of 5 – Islam in Bible Prophecy - The 4 Horsemen

What an incredible subject we will be studying, here ~ Islam In Bible Prophecy. It hasn't been many years since those planes flew into the Trade Towers in New York City and suddenly the attention of the world was riveted on this religion of Islam that very few of us knew very much about.

Mecca, Saudi Arabia is the center of Islam in the world. Every Muslim in the world attempts to make the trek to Mecca at least once in their lifetime. This is the heartland of Mohammed, the prophet who wrote the Quran, which is the Holy Book of the Islamic Religion. We are going to discover that Islam is in your Bible.

The word “Islam” means submission. A Muslim is an adherent to the religion of Islam. It is claimed that there are between 1.3 to 1.8 billion Muslims in the world today. We are going to give absolute proof that God prophesied about Islam 600 years before Islam ever existed. The prophecy is a very familiar prophecy of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. We are now going to learn what these 4 Horsemen are all about.

The Book of Revelation has a skeletal structure of 3 groups of 7:

• 7 Seals
• 7 Trumpets
• 7 Vials

The 4 Horsemen are the first 4 seals of the 7 seals. It is important to note that Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, is the One opening these seals. Revelation 6:1-2 states:

“And I saw when the Lamb [Jesus Christ] opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts [these beasts are cherubim according to Ezekiel] saying, come and see. And I saw, and behold a WHITE horse; and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

(Note: The colors of the horses are important)

Looking at Horse #2, Revelation 6:3-4 states:

“And when He had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, come and see. And there went out another horse that was RED: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another; and there was given unto him a great sword.”

For Horse #3, Revelation 6:5-6 says:

“And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, come and see. And I beheld, and lo a BLACK horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”

And for the final horse, Horse #4, Revelation 6:7-8 says:

“And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, come and see. And I looked, and behold a PALE horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

This prophecy is also given to us in Zechariah 6:1-8, which was written about 600 years prior to the prophecy in Revelation. Zechariah saw the same color of horses, but he saw them pulling chariots. The interesting part is Zechariah 6 actually tells us what these horses symbolize. Zechariah 6:4-5 says:

“Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these my Lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, these are the four spirits of the heavens which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.”

This tells us the Four Horsemen are Four Spirits. What does this mean? We'll take them one by one:

Is there a Spirit in the world today that could be the “Red Spirit”? Yes. There is an international spirit that influences what people believe, that influences how people live, what they even do. It is officially the “Red Spirit”. You've heard of it as Red China, Red Russia, Red Romania. It's Communism. The official color of Communism is Red. This is a Spirit that infects the psyche of a person; what they believe, what their value system is, what they love, what they fight for. Communism is a huge movement. Communism is a belief system.

We are going to learn that each of these Four Horsemen represent a major belief system in our world today.

Let's look at the rest of the clues given in the Book of Revelation 6 about the Red Horse. Revelation 6:3-4 continues to describe it:

“...and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth,...”

Communism has taken peace from the earth. From the very outset, the first Communist Revolution, the Bolshevik Revolution, took place in 1917 in the Soviet Union. Did it take peace from the earth? Abosolutely! It was a horrible revolution.

That continued on with the China Revolution when Communists took over China in 1949. Then on to Korea, Viet Nam, The Congo...

Everywhere the Communists take over it's always been by revolution. This gives them the power to take peace from the earth. Revelation 6:3-4 goes on to say:

“and that they should kill one another;”

This means they will not only fight their enemies, but there is a lot of “in-fighting” in the world of Communism. For example, Stalin killed 20 million Russians during his reign in the Soviet Union.

When the Chinese were taken over by the Communists in 1949, from then until now, 60 million killed in the cultural revolution.

The prophecy continues on to say:

“...and there was given unto him [the one sitting on the red horse] a great sword.”

Does Communism have great military might? Who would want to fight Russia and China at the same time? No thank you.

The flag of the Soviet Union is a red flag with the hammer and sickle. Red is the official color of Communism or Socialism. Communism is the political ideology and Socialism is the economic system. They work hand in hand. Almight God said one of the belief systems that will dominate in the end times is the Red power; the power of Communism.

Next is the Black Horse ~ the Black Spirit.
